One Hope; One Heart; One Promise

SERVOLUTION TELEVISION SHOW

“You have not lived today until you have done something to help somebody in need who can’t pay you back” Unknown

What is A Servolution?

“…It is a culture. Infusing this culture into a DNA of a church will change the view of the world and the perspective of the needs of those around you. This movement is rumbling throughout the Body of Christ - a revolutionary Army of people ready to take up this mandate. We are actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and the poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. We stand ready with one heart, saying, “I will serve others and show them the hope they can have in Jesus.”

Television

South Africa has a big television audience, and it had been proven that television is the most effective way of communication. Television easily influences people into doing something for the community; television easily influences people into choosing careers (right or wrong) for their future.

It is in this reason that we see television playing a major role in mobilizing Christians in South Africa and throughout the world to participate in Pastor Rizzo Dino’s call of serving.

Recently, the President of South Africa called upon all South Africans to serve those in need; and his call was mainly directed to Christians. I strongly believe that a church of Christ easily understand the meaning of “serving others” who are less fortunate.

As people will be watching the “Servolution show/programme” on television, I believe that God Himself will be revealed, not only to the believers but also to the non-believers – His Hope, His Heart, and His promise!

7. Let’s say the show is televised for 30 minutes, where do we start?
· We first tell the story of the identified need, and introduce the person or ngo, or community in need.
· We then introduce the church that identified the need.
· We follow up on how the church that identified the need is trying to solve the problem. We tell the ideas on how the problem will be solved.
· We also introduce people/companies approached who might help out on solving the problem.
· Combining all the above, we will come up with a 24 minute episode.

8. Aims of this programme
· To encourage the church to serve other people with love as Jesus did. Because Jesus loved people, he served them to show that love.
· To restore the spirit of one love and togetherness in our communities. There’s value in shared ideas.
· This is a breakthrough to a hurting world, by showing his love to those who are heart-broken.
· We need to show the people His mercy and wonders so that they would also come to know Him.
· To build a community that cares for one another.
· To restore the Spirit of “Ubuntu” in our communities.
· The church and its purpose is best expressed outside its walls, but this show/programme will give a clear and tangible purpose of a church.
· People must know that God loves them equally in spite of their circumstances.
